Apple Pie Shake

I find that when you start your day with a shake, you end up making better health choices throughout the rest of the day. My Apple Pie Shake makes a great choice around the holidays as it can satisfy cravings for the sweet, sugary temptations that are hard to escape during the holiday season.

The pecans in this shake contain magnesium. In Younger, I recommend magnesium to counter the stress response, to help your muscles release, and it may even enhance your sleep. Sometimes your tightness or stiffness is a sign of magnesium deficiency. Other foods that are rich in magnesium include kelp, dulse, almonds, cashews, and Brazil nuts.


2 scoops of protein powder, vanilla shake
1 apple
1/2 frozen banana
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
2 tbsp unsalted raw pecans
1 cup water


Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and whip to desired consistency.
